Water Features and Moats

Moats and cascading water can be built to add several different elements to a property and garden and water features are enjoying a revival in architecture. Apart from providing stunning reflections of the house and surroundings, and the impression of calm and serenity, water can be used as an additional building material to minimalist style and offer a softening effect to bold and less colourful contemporary architecture. Water offers a separating element which can be useful when combining different architectural styles or functions of a property such as working area and living area. Standards

We pride ourselves in the quality of our pools and spas. Needless to say, we work to the most stringent industry regulations - those published by SPATA - the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association and PWTAG - Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group. All our pool engineers are qualified to the standards of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers and to the CITB CSCS scheme. Our gas heating engineers are GASSAFE registered and our electrical engineers are trained to comply with NICEIC.

After Sales Service

We provide a full commissioning service for every completed project with each system fully tested and proven fit for purpose before certification and handover to the client. All is demonstrated and use explained to the client or nominated representative, an operation and maintenance manual is supplied along with a full maintenance schedule for all plant. We will also provide weekly attendance for general servicing for a period of 60 days from final commissioning without additional cost to the client.

More importantly we understand the need to meet new challenges with energy conservation and low energy use for our works. A synergy needs to exist between the client, professional team and ourselves to fulfil these rapidly changing needs.

Environmental control systems

We specialise in heat recovery and air handling systems for indoor pools of all types and can install gas, electrical or oil-fired systems for both indoor and outdoor pools. Since the filtration of water, its treatment and the air handling systems are complementary and require design to suit each individual pool installation, we source all equipment from known and leading manufacturers in the UK and Europe. The complete systems include all waterflow pipework from pool/spa to plantroom. All poolside fittings are stainless steel and pipework 16 bar rated uPVC pressure tested once fitted and again before covering over. Filters are deep bed giving highly polished/filtered water, pumps high technology silent run units avoiding transmission of low level noise through concrete structures. Air handling ductwork is attenuated or fully silenced to avoid air/mechanical noise within the pool hall or externally to atmosphere where there may be planning requirements to meet. Air handling units are specifically designed for each project and can be manufactured in modules for site assembly which is a particular benefit for difficult access Central London locations. Water treatment plant is specifically ultra violet for primary and high precision free chlorine/PH for secondary disinfection. Control systems are designed and manufactured on a bespoke basis for each installation and can incorporate switching for underwater lighting and air temperature/ filter pump set back if pool covers are used. In other words, we will provide everything needed for a trouble free and highly efficient swimming pool/spa facility.

Warranties

London Swimming Pool Company naturally offer warranties in line with SPATA requirements with commencement from date of practical completion. Full maintenance of defects liability period is 1 year from practical completion.

Notes for Architects, Designers and Building Contractors

We offer either complete turnkey concrete swimming pool/spa construction of all types including shotcrete PSS - Permanent Shuttering System for both residential and commercial projects, or by working with main contractors for the provision of waterflow, filtration, water treatment, lighting, air handling and internal finishes to water retaining concrete structures. We can also install ancillary services such as saunas and steam rooms for custom built leisure areas.
