How We Work

How we take on a challenging and prestigious pool project

For more than 40 years, we've been collaborating with architects, interior designers, main contractors, pool equipment suppliers and manufacturers, as well as end-user clients, on the specification, design, and build of luxury pools, many of which feature spas, saunas, and other wellness facilities integrated.

We're invited to bid for a diverse range of prestigious pool projects and consequently we've developed a deep understanding of what the end-user wants in terms of aesthetics, innovation, originality, service and, dare we say it, expenditure. We've gained a reputation for providing exacting engineering solutions and completing a significant number of challenging projects, and we've won more than 45 major design, construction and refurbishment awards.

Tendering

The majority of our major pool projects are awarded by architects and main contractors who rely upon our expertise to interpret their clients' briefs and provide viable and imaginative solutions. When we receive an invitation to tender for a new pool, the project is assigned a design and project management team which remains constant from the bid stage right through to completion and commissioning of the pool. Likewise, if a client would like to revitalise an outdated pool with 21st-century technology and design, a dedicated refurbishment team is assigned.

Technical expertise

The creative in-house design and project management team ensures that technically complex and logistically difficult projects are designed and built on time. Every pool we design and build is bespoke, from the simplest luxury pool to highly complex installations including infinity edge, linear deck slot, standard deck level overflow and letterbox surface flow systems. Our teams can handle any level of complexity presented by a brief or a building’s architecture. We bring advanced technology to pool design and build, including high-efficiency and environmentally-friendly heating systems, moving floor solutions, advanced hydrotherapy, stainless steel pools, water features and spectacular LED underwater lighting and sound systems. We continually assess and review new technology, materials and energy conservation development to ensure that clients receive the best in pool and spa construction, filtration, water treatment, air handling, lighting and finishes.

Concept stage

At the concept stage, our design and project management team holds detailed discussions with the end-client, architect and project designer. The team ten produces initial concepts to take forward to a design principal. This produces a flow of ideas that allows the team to supply a preliminary performance specification.

Design

When commissioned, we consult further with the client team and submit drawings for the construction. Our designers use 3D computer-aided design software to produce intricate technical drawings and design proposals, with all equipment and building materials itemised and priced separately for transparency, and they then submit these for approval. Once the client has confirmed the core concept and budget for the pool and/or wellness facilities, we take overall responsibility for the project, from design to construction and even landscaping if required on outdoor projects. The on-site project management team ensures that the programme progresses smoothly, on time and in line with agreed budgets.

Commissioning

Once the pool is completed, every system is tested before certification and handover to the client. We give a demonstration and supply an operation manual and a full maintenance schedule. Our Servicing division services and maintains many of the pools that we've built over the years.
