Modern art meets luxury swimming pools

If you are planning to adorn the walls of your swimming pool hall with a talking-point piece of artwork, you won’t have to stretch to a £70m David Hockney pool painting! Instead, you can choose a stunning bespoke installation inspired by expressionists such as Wassily Kandinksy, Alexander Calder and Joan Miró for a drop in the ocean compared to a Hockney.

Contemporary artist Niul Foat, who has been around pools for years because his father worked in the industry, creates beautiful, timeless statement pieces that complement pools. The artworks can be produced on a variety of materials, including clear acrylic, which are impervious to the warm atmosphere of a pool hall and can therefore be displayed on the walls.

But it doesn’t stop at wall art - these bold designs can be transferred to mosaic tiles to produce a striking bespoke design for the interior of a pool. Mosaic tiles can be printed any colour or design to produce a breath-taking visual effect. Complemented by colour-changing under underwater lights, swimmers can enjoy a wonderful work of art in the pool!

Unique pool interiors are a growing design trend because they allow pool owners to distinguish their pool from any other, select vibrant colours and express their passion for modern art. And imagine how spectacular the pool artwork would look through underwater windows!

At London Swimming Pool Company we specialise in luxury swimming pool design, construction and refurbishment, so if you need advice on a brand new pool with stunning artwork as an integral part of the pool finish, contact us for an initial discussion – there’s no substitute for expert advice.
