What is a movable floor?
A movable floor is a technologically advanced movable floor system that is installed in the base of a new swimming pool - when the floor is raised to the top, it closes off the pool so that, what was a pool a few minutes before, is transformed into space that can be used for different activities.
Eliminating the decision between having space or a pool
No matter how much you aspire to having your own swimming pool or how big your home is, most potential pool owners think seriously about how much space to dedicate to a pool. Do they want to devote a sizeable amount of space - indoors or outdoors - to a pool? Invariably, the answer is yes because having a pool means so much to them.
But what if you didn't have to choose between a pool and the precious space in your home? What if you could have the swimming pool you so passionately desire when you want to swim, and then the pool space is transformed back to normal when you want to use the location for other social activity?
That is the magic of a movable floor. Superbly designed movable floors are built into new swimming pools so that from day one, you have a glorious pool to swim in every day or night if you wish. When you want to use that space for other activities (parties, exercise, band practice, and more), you activate the mechanism that raises the movable floor from the base of the pool to the top. It’s mesmerising to watch the movable floor move effortlessly from the bottom of the pool to cover the water. When it reaches the top of the pool, the floor locks securely and is watertight. The movable floor is so strong that 60 average-sized people can safely party away on the floor!
Additional advantages of movable floors
The other striking feature of a movable floor is that you can adjust the water depth for different family members. You can set as many levels as you wish.
For instance, if you have toddlers, you can raise the floor to a level that creates a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around to their hearts' content - under the watchful gaze of an adult, of course. When the experienced swimmers are ready to swim, the movable floor can be lowered to bring the pool back to full depth.
The evolution of movable floor technology means they can be installed in luxury bespoke pools and standard-sized family pools. Both provide the same multi-use, space-saving benefits and the flexibility to adjust the floor to suit different bathers.
