Berndorf Bäderbau is Europe's premier stainless steel swimming pool manufacturer and has been at the forefront of technological developments in stainless steel pools for 50 years. The company has worked alongside pool designers in Europe on the construction of 6,500 pools covering one million square meter water surface.
Bespoke Stainless Steel Pools
Stainless steel is suitable for both new and refurbishment projects. It is a stylish, dynamic finish that, thanks to its versatility, makes it perfect for pool construction. The material is flexible and easy to modify, enabling pools to be built in unique and unusual pool shapes and sizes not normally possible with other materials.
Some pool designs are restricted by the weight of the concrete pool liner, the finish, and the water itself. A stainless steel pool is considerably lighter in weight than conventional pools because it comes pre-constructed as both a pool liner and finish, making it possible to build a pool in parts of a property (eg upper floors, roof terraces) where a heavier concrete pool may not be feasible.
Stainless steel finishes complement modern and traditional properties and blend with many different materials, especially glass. The metal is 'stamped' to generate grip, which also produces beautiful and unusual light effects in the water. New advances in construction technology have also meant that it can be combined with other materials, such as acrylic and glass, to create a unique look and feel for the pool.
Benefits at a glance:
- Stainless steel pools are permanently watertight so are impervious to weather damage, discolouration or bleaching from ultraviolet resistance
- They do not contain additives, so there is no risk of water contamination
- They are extremely durable and retain their aesthetic quality over time
- They are economical to operate, resulting in minimal cleaning, less chemical consumption and a low impact on the environment
Modular Stainless Steel Pools
Another advantage of stainless steel pools is that they can be built faster than building a pool using conventional construction methods, and good weather permitting, the modular pools can be built in just a couple of months from shipment of materials. This means clients can have a pool much faster and for less cost than they might expect.
There are two modular designs in the Classic range available through LSPC - both are available in 6 x 3 metres and 8 x 4 metres: Harmonia is the skimmer pool and Kornos the level deck model.
