Complementary accessories for your pool area

A couple of years ago, we had a look at accessories and enhancements you can add to your pool area to bring it to life. Now that you’ve had a chance to enjoy your luxurious pool, we’re going to take a look at how you can transform it further - with a few stylish accessories and a light makeover. These ideas are particularly good for socialising, ensuring that you and your guests can linger by the pool all day and evening if you wish!

Outdoor Lounge Areas
On a hot, sunny day, there’s nothing better than lounging around a pool. By placing outdoor sofas, chairs and other soft furnishings around your pool, you can create comfortable corners for you and your family to enjoy. Don’t forget to use umbrellas to create shade over your lounge areas, to ensure you’re protected from the sun in the middle of the day. At the end of your party, put away all small items (eg light cushions) to avoid anything blowing into the pool.

Sun Loungers
Sun loungers are a must-have poolside accessory. Make sure yours look stylish and sophisticated by avoiding plastic and opting for more natural materials instead, such as wood or bamboo. Selecting an organic or minimalist design will further help to enhance your pool area and accentuate your stylish exterior space.

If you want to go a little further than a light makeover, a beautifully designed and finished patio will set your pool off perfectly. To make a true style statement, use dark stone or marble to accentuate the blue of the water. Alternatively, opt for a lighter coloured material and help the sunlight to bounce around the space and brighten up your pool area.

A spa or hot tub will really complement your swimming pool and add an eye-catching feature to the space. The jets of water created in a spa are great for reducing stress and improving circulation, while the heat of a hot tub can help your muscles to relax and unwind.   An above-ground hot tub is easy to install and look after, and a fantastic way to spend leisure time with friends and family.  Advanced technology means you can choose a hot tub with all mod cons, including audio-visual facilities.

Dining Area
Creating a dining area next to your pool will give you a great space for entertaining and relaxing. Place your dining table under permanent cover to create an all-weather entertaining space or keep it open air if you only plan to use the dining area in the height of summer.

Patio Heaters
If you enjoy swimming in the evenings, investing in a few patio heaters will help to keep you warm when you get out of the water. Powered by gas - heaters are safe to have around your pool if used and maintained properly. The extra heat they provide will help to warm up those chilly spring and autumn evenings, giving you the perfect outdoor space for socialising and relaxing.
