Another CHAS Accreditation for LSPC
LSPC has passed its latest CHAS Accreditation with flying colours, demonstrating its commitment to health and safety. CHAS assesses the health and safety competence of organisations. It verifies that companies not only have a health and safety policy statement but that the policy is fully implemented throughout the business and that practices are to an acceptable standard for private and public sector buyers and customers.
Within the wide assessment criteria, CHAS checks the ability, experience and resources of the company to carry out the work it specifies, looking at areas such as method statements, risk assessment, training and work examples. The assessment also looks a how companies manage their work safely, ensuring that they are carrying this out in line with their method statements and manage sites effectively and under supervision where required.
Jamie Smith, managing director at LSPC said: “Working to the highest standards is good for everyone; our staff, clients and business partners, such as architects and main contractors. External assessment gives clients and project partners confidence that their projects are in safe hands. We not only look to CHAS for accreditation but also work to the rigorous standards set by the Swimming Pool and Allied Trades Association and the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group, as well as ensuring that our engineers are qualified and certified by relevant bodies.
